We host an email server to use as an alternative to other email services, often proprietary and locked in. You can use most email clients like Thunderbird or neomutt, just add the following to your client of choice:


To set up your account, click the hamburger menu (the 3 lines) > new > existing mail account. Once you're in the account setup screen, for email and password put your new email address and shell password. A button that says "configure manually" will appear, click it.

In the first section, make sure "IMAP" is selected and for hostname it is "" and the port is "993". In the second section, make sure the hostname is "" and the port is "587". Click re-test server configuration, if you've inputted everything correctly, a green checkmark should appear and you may login.
