Gemini is a new internet protocol which is heavier than gopher, but lighter than the web. It's often called the Small Web, along with Gopher. The protocol also emphasises user privacy and the customization of the receiving content by the client. We use the gemserv Gemini server.

Your Gemini capsule is located in ~/public_gemini and you can view it at gemini:// You will already have an index.gmi file to get you started.

Gemini uses a file format called Gemtext, which is not that different from Markdown.
