# so long, lelkins html page. you were good. maybe the best website of all time.

ay. if you are wondering why this got nuked, destroyed, obliterated and turned into spaghetti sauce in favor of gemini, i actually have a couple of reasons. this will also be written as if it's a gemini post because why not i feel like it

## 1. i find html hard.

html, css and i are like water and oil. no i cannot fly with html and css on me so don't think about the funny dead joke.

every time i started a html page, my mate evan had to help me with layouts, css and other cool stuff. the "newest" version WAS made by me but i just copied and pasted stuff from a tutorial that i forgot. and even then, it was always not lelkins-like, or even lelkins-like enough. the older one was pretty much the most me-like version of the website because it felt like a literal shitpost, with the sheldon/heavy tf2 wallpapers and tens of gifs i yanked from ancient times with the time machine i found in the attic.

## 2. artist spooky stuff

quick disclaimer: i don't know much about ai art. this is about ai art. yea. any information about it came from my understanding of what it is so take it with a grain of salt possibly. pretty controversial. it's not a large reason for why this html website is nuked but can be considered one. i am not fully against ai art as it can be used as a tool instead, where you can have a better idea on how something you say in words would look like (even if we can just have reference material), but people like ruining stuff i guess 

i draw and doodle for fun, especially in kolourpaint. even if i portray that i live in a time where stuff like ai and modern jibber jabber doesn't exist, it actually does. i just do it for comedic effect. i already spilled the beans on this reason: ai.

i do not know much about ai art, but artists on most art-related websites do protests against ai art, cause of ethics, permission (like deviantart automatically feeding your drawings to their ai dataset without your consent) and maybe copyright issues. my art doesn't have copyright because i can't copyright really simple stickfigure-like characters and a piece of fanart of ralsei from deltarune smoking a joint (he's not even my character!). i let people draw my characters, of course. i do everything for free because i don't want to do stuff for money or something. you can use my stuff with permission and credit or whatever, i do not know how i'd license my drawings cause i do them for fun. i treated ai art as a novelty but people genuinely make money out of it (and i have relatives who might just use those tools for that alone)

i am sure that my stuff aren't shoved inside some machine to churn out lelkins-like material in the hopes of doing something bad to me or some shit because i am just a little guy that nobody knows and even if my art SOMEHOW is grabbed by ai, it cannot generate something similar to pixel art which is what mspaint art is like, but anything about ethics for stuff made by people is something obviously important. if you want to see my drawings, you can go to gemini for that.

## 3. crawlers and my fear of internet spiders (same thing)

i kind of mentioned this in reason number 2. the spooky spiders that can kill have entered my e-household and i am scared

the world wide web as we know it is patrolled by creepy crawlers, basically making traffic for no reason, possibly yanking stuff like drawings or something via indexing, i think, i just don't know. he told me that my website was actually visited by weird crawlers from spooky places for spooky reasons with spooky descriptions, so i decided that now's the time to just pull the plug. i just don't feel comfortable with spiders lurking around my house, if that makes sense. especially poisonous ones that index my stuff and pass them around or whatever, i don't know how the internet works i am just a silly man who draws in kolourpaint 

gemini isn't dominated by crawlers unlike the www and there's other bonuses like easier ways to make your posts due to them being just text files with a different name, and it being leaner and meaner.
